At BumbleBee, we’ve always been big believers in giving back and doing pro bono marketing for causes and local organizations that are near and dear to our hearts. Late last year, we introduced Charlotte B., who embodies our philosophy of sticking our necks out to help others. This year, our motto is Bee Prepared, and we’ll be helping clients and the community prepare for those unexpected things life throws at us.
When we connect for-profits and non-profits in a way that benefits both organizations, it’s a powerful combination. At BumbleBee, we’ve done it many times, and we’re always impressed with the results.
For example, a few years ago, we were planning activities for a large technology symposium, and the clients wanted to do more than just give out the usual swag. We engaged attendees by giving them the opportunity to bid on cool prizes (like a guitar signed by Lenny Kravitz) while the proceeds went to support a good cause: Girl Rising. The sponsoring companies matched all funds raised. It was a win-win.
